K-pop group Aespa is extending its global run with 'LEMONADE', the title track from its second full-length album, after the song swept key charts and delivered the group's best Spotify global-chart debut.
Dominates global platforms, sets career-best Spotify entry
The newly released record swept the Global K-Chart—compiled from major music platform data in South Korea, Japan and China—taking No. 1 on the daily, weekly and monthly lists. It also settled into the top tier of South Korea's major streaming platforms, backed by rising streams and an influx of new listeners, underscoring its staying power with the public.
The performance on global platforms was especially notable. On Spotify's global chart, the release became the group's career-best entry immediately after release. It also reached the top of major Japanese record charts and posted strong sales in China's digital album category, demonstrating the strength of its fan base in China. 'LEMONADE,' marked by a hard-hitting beat and sleek production, has been praised as a complete expression of Aespa's distinctive identity, while its music video has also reached the upper ranks of major global video charts, signaling sustained momentum.
Takes No. 1 on Hanteo Chart's World and Album categories
That global streaming strength translated directly into physical-album results. According to Hanteo Chart's weekly chart for the fourth week of May 2026—the world's only real-time music chart—Aespa rose to No. 1 on both the World Chart and the Album Chart, finishing ahead of BTS and other top-tier artists.
On the weekly World Chart, Aespa recorded the highest scores in both the album and digital categories, posting a World Index of 23,515.50 points. BTS was second with 13,815.76 points, and And Double ranked third with 9,791.83 points. On the weekly Album Chart, Aespa's second full-length album 'LEMONADE' posted an album index of 1,039,252.20 points (sales 847,824 copies), securing the No. 1 position.
Hanteo Chart's World Chart aggregates global data for K-pop artists—covering album sales, digital performance, certifications, social media and media—while the Album Chart is calculated based on worldwide album sales. Detailed chart results are available on the Whosfan mobile app and Hanteo Chart's official website.
