BTS member V's 'Christmas Tree' Surpasses 500 Million Streams on Spotify

Following the historic first Billboard entry for a Korean OST, V achieves his fifth solo track to reach 500 million streams

BTS member V's solo song 'Christmas Tree' has surpassed 500 million cumulative streams on Spotify, once again proving its powerful global streaming presence.

According to BigHit Music on the 19th, the OST 'Christmas Tree' from the SBS drama 'Our Beloved Summer', which features V, reached the 500 million streams milestone on Spotify as of the previous day. The fact that it continues to receive unwavering love from music fans around the world even years after its release makes this particularly meaningful.

With this, V has become a solo artist with as many as five songs that have each surpassed 500 million streams on Spotify. Previously, Love Me Again, Winter Ahead, FRI(END)S, and Slow Dancing achieved the same milestone.

Released in 2021, 'Christmas Tree' made history as the first Korean drama OST ever to enter the U.S. Billboard main singles chart Hot 100, debuting at No. 79. It went on to leave a significant mark—topping Billboard's 'Holiday Digital Song Sales' and 'Digital Song Sales' charts and reaching No. 55 on the 'Holiday Hot 100'—solidifying its status as an undisputed global mega-hit.
