BLACKPINK's Jennie reaches career-high No 8 on Billboard Hot 100

BLACKPINK's Jennie has set a new career-high on Billboard's flagship US singles chart, underlining her global influence.

According to Billboard's latest chart released on 7 July (local time), 'Dracula', Jennie's collaboration with Australian pop star Tame Impala, rose two places from the previous week to No 8 on the Hot 100. This is the highest position Jennie has reached across both her group and solo work.

The song's success is an unusual example of a short-form video platform fuelling a belated surge up the chart. First issued in October last year as a solo track by Tame Impala, 'Dracula' enjoyed a global resurgence after a remix featuring Jennie was released in February this year.

K-pop groups also stood out on Billboard's main albums chart, the Billboard 200. Boy band ATEEZ rose to No 1 with their 14th mini-album 'Golden Hour : Part 5', marking their third No 1 overall.

Elsewhere, BTS's 'Swim' placed at No 76 on the Hot 100, marking 15 consecutive weeks on the chart, while the collaboration track 'Iconic by Mistake' by HYBE's girl groups LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT, along with KATSEYE, landed at No 49 and has been on the chart for three consecutive weeks.

On the Billboard 200, BTS's 'Arirang' came in at No 19, and the soundtrack album for the Netflix animated film 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' was No 23. Notably, KATSEYE placed two albums on the chart simultaneously: 'Beautiful Chaos' at No 128 and 'SIS (Soft Is Strong)' at No 185.
