Global pop icons BTS will hold a large-scale special performance at Gwanghwamun Square in the heart of Seoul, South Korea. The stage, set in this symbolic space where Korea's tradition and modernity coexist, is drawing worldwide attention.

According to the music industry, this Gwanghwamun performance was planned for BTS to express gratitude to their global fandom and to showcase Korea's unique aesthetic to the world. The special stage is expected to feature spectacular performances combining cutting-edge production techniques with Korean elements, raising anticipation to a peak.

With record crowds expected to gather, the Seoul Metropolitan Government and relevant authorities have launched thorough safety measures. They are activating a systematic safety management manual that includes traffic controls around the venue and crowd-dispersal routes for attendees, and they also expect positive synergies such as significant economic ripple effects and the attraction of foreign tourists.

Experts say this Gwanghwamun performance will go beyond a mere pop music event to reaffirm K-pop's global standing and become a historic cultural festival.

At the same time, all of Seoul will transform into a vibrant stage for cultural festivities. In line with the performance schedule, the 'BTS The City Arirang Seoul' event will be held from the 20th until the 12th of next month. Organizers plan to present experiential content and large-scale installation displays that combine BTS with Korean culture.

In particular, during the festival the National Museum Cultural Foundation's brand 'Myuzeu' will release special BTS collaboration products. Shoulder bags, card holders, hair clips and more—designed with motifs inspired by a national treasure, the Bell of King Seongdeok (Seongdeok Daewang Sinjong)—will combine the beauty of Korean traditional culture with popular culture to offer a unique experience to domestic and international visitors.
