Busan to Host 2026 International Student Festival With BOF Tie-In

Set for June 27 at the Busan Asiad Auxiliary Stadium, the festival will feature K-pop concerts, traditional cultural experiences and other events bringing international students and members of the public together.

Busan — Busan Cultural Foundation and Silla University will host the "2026 International Student Festival in Busan" on June 27, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Busan Asiad Auxiliary Stadium, bringing together international students and local residents for a day of K-pop performances and cultural exchange.

The event will be held in conjunction with Busan's flagship global K-pop and Hallyu festival, the Busan One Asia Festival (BOF). Organizers say the tie-in will give participants a broader, more dynamic Hallyu experience.

The festival is designed as a comprehensive exchange platform to strengthen networks between international students and local residents and to raise Busan's profile as a global hub city.

On-site, visitors will find a "Busan Concept Zone" along with a variety of stage programs and cultural experience activities. The program includes:

Stage programs: official opening and closing ceremonies, celebration performances, global talent show, talk concerts, special K-pop performances
'Challenge! Jiphyeonjeon Golden Bell': a survival-style Korean language and Korean culture quiz competition for international students
Experience zone: traditional culture booths including hanbok, K-culture trend booths, multicultural community hub
Food and events: international food fair, interactive field games, large-scale prize drawings

A festival organizing committee official said, "This festival will serve as a core platform for international students and Busan residents to share and communicate their cultures. Held in conjunction with BOF, we hope it will help introduce Busan — an attractive city where global talent want to live — to audiences around the world."

International students living in South Korea, as well as any member of the public interested in global cultural exchange, may take part.
