CORTIS sells out 1st-anniversary shows while rewriting the K-pop record book
BigHit Music's next-generation boy group CORTIS is rewriting the K-pop record book, showing formidable ticket power and dominant album sales day after day.
CORTIS (Martin, James, Ju-hun, Seong-hyun, Geon-ho) sold out all seats for the Seoul dates of its "2026 CORTIS TOUR BIRTHDAY PARTY" during the official fan club COER membership presales held on July 22 and 23.
Seoul debut-anniversary shows to be livestreamed on Weverse for global fans
The concerts, scheduled for August 22 and 23 at Korea University Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, coincide with CORTIS's official debut date of August 18. The shows are a meaningful occasion staged to celebrate the explosive growth of the past year with the global fandom that has supported them since right after debut, and will be livestreamed on Weverse for fans who cannot attend in person.
The group's schedule stretches beyond Asia to all of North America. As part of a large-scale world tour, CORTIS will visit nine major cities worldwide through September, mounting a total of 14 shows in markets including South Korea; the United States, with stops in Los Angeles and New York; Canada, with a stop in Toronto; and Japan, with stops in Tokyo and Osaka. The July Incheon stop successfully concluded, and the North American leg beginning in August sold out shortly after tickets went on sale.
CORTIS becomes a 'triple million seller' as album and streaming records climb
Alongside strong ticket sales, the group is posting new records on album and streaming charts. Their second EP, "GREENGREEN," released in May, surpassed cumulative sales of 3,000,000 copies on the Circle Chart, earning CORTIS the designation of a "Triple Million Seller." The feat is rare for a group in its debut year and proves the power of BigHit Music's next-generation ace.
As of July 20, the combined streams of tracks from the second EP "GREENGREEN" surpassed 300,000,000 on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform. Industry observers say the group's solid musical capabilities, honed since its debut album, and its differentiated performances have completely captivated listeners around the world.
CORTIS is expected to leave the country immediately after the Seoul shows to meet international fans. After the Seoul shows, CORTIS will depart the country to meet global fans, as the music industry watches to see what records the group sets next at home and abroad.
