BTS have expanded their world tour after strong demand from fans worldwide, sustaining the group's global run of success.
BTS recently announced via global fan community platform Weverse that they will add an additional Melbourne date to their world tour 'ARIRANG (Arirang)'. The tour now spans 34 cities and 86 shows.
Australian fans, many of whom have waited years for a solo BTS performance, have responded with intense excitement. After such a long wait, tickets are expected to be highly contested.
In particular, the Sydney concert that follows the Melbourne dates will be staged at Accor Stadium, one of Australia's largest stadiums. The news that BTS will be entering this iconic venue, normally reserved for global pop stars, has become a major talking point in Australia's music industry.
BTS's global standing was already demonstrated during their North American tour. US music outlet Consequence praised the Las Vegas show for its "commanding stage presence and exceptional rapport with the audience."
Having carried the momentum from North America into Oceania, BTS are expected to connect with fans in Australia and add another landmark commercial record to the tour.
